We will now begin with our guide on Stock analysis tools. Since we have already covered Stock screener articles in depth, we won’t go into it again. You can read it all here.
Let’s start with the next tool, Compare stocks. As the name suggests the tool gives a detailed comparison of stocks (that you select) across various parameters. We also have a default list that consists of stocks in particular segments like Auto, IT, Banking, and so on.
In our example, we will explore the Auto segment category.

When you click on the Detailed comparison, a screen will pop up like this:

Let’s explore each section. On the left side, you have two main sections, starting with the Compare Stocks tab.

As you can see, you see the stocks currently on the list. In sharpely, the highly intuitive designs make things like adding and removing stocks a breeze.
The section below offers you a list of options and depending on the index you choose, again you can add the stocks at the click of a button.

On the right, we have the results (from the stocks you selected). As you can see we have made comparing performances super easy on the eyes removing all clutter and keeping only vital data.
You can see the performance across various timeframes based on your holding period strategy.

Below that is Portfolio overlap, this basically gives you a glimpse into how many stocks in the above list have an overlap with your portfolio.
The last section is an important one– A detailed comparison. As the name suggests this is where the gold lies (not literally, don’t go searching for your mining tools.)

By default we have selected key metrics we feel are vital for a study offering a blend of our proprietary scores, returns, market cap, and so on. This is fully customizable and you can choose from our lists of metrics to find ones that fit your needs.
Apart from customization, you can also have a peek at the heatmap, and factor scores, and download the sheet. Exciting, no?
But we are just getting started. In the next article, we will explore the next stock tool.
