Units are bought on each SIP date at that day's NAV; the final value is units × latest NAV. XIRR is then solved so that the present value of all instalments equals that final value.

Not a formula projection. Pick any Indian mutual fund and see what a SIP or lumpsum in it actually returned using its real NAV history — SIP XIRR for any period, point-to-point and rolling returns, and a systematic withdrawal test.

How the Mutual Fund Returns Calculator works
Every calculation on this page uses the fund's daily NAV history: a SIP is simulated by buying units on the same date each month, a lumpsum by the NAV on the start and end dates, and rolling returns by sliding a fixed window across the whole history.
SIP XIRR is the annualised return that reconciles all the monthly instalments with the final value — the number a projection calculator can only guess at.
Rolling returns show the range of outcomes an investor got for every possible start date, which is a far better guide to consistency than a single point-to-point figure.
SIP XIRR: Σ instalmentᵢ ÷ (1+r)^(tᵢ) = final value; Rolling return(window) = (NAV_end ÷ NAV_start)^(1/years) − 1 for every start date
Worked example
Choose a fund, set the start and end dates, and the calculator reports invested amount, final corpus and XIRR — plus a chart of the corpus over time. Switch to rolling returns to see the best, worst and median outcomes for 1, 3, 5 or 10-year holding periods.
