Think of it as your one-stop solution to download financial statements, ratios, and statistics of ANY listed company in India.
All you have to do is select the company in your Excel Xport and all financial statements and ratios of your choice will be loaded automatically, neatly organized in different sheets.
This exciting tool is available on annual Pro and Black plans only right now. Let’s explore how to access the Excel Xport and get the most out of it.
To access this sheet, you need to first visit your ‘User Profile’ at sharpely. Here’s the link if you’re confused about where to find it: https://sharpely.in/user-profile
Making this our step 1, let’s see step-by-step.
Once you open your user profile, under the main section you’ll see the ‘sharpely Excel Xport’ as marked with the green arrow.
Click on it. And you’ll then see this:
Here you’ll click on the ‘Open in Google Sheets’ button.
Once you click the ‘Open in the Google Sheets’ option. A new page will open and you’ll see a pop-up like this:
Press the ‘Make a copy’ button as this will allow you to create your version of sharpely Excel Xport.
Once you press it, you’ll be taken to the sheet and you’ll see something like this:
This is how your main dashboard looks. You can see there are three sheets here right now: Token Verification, Stock selection, and Stock snapshot. We’ll get into the other two later, let’s start with Token Verification first.
Can you see the ‘Enter Token’ bar and the ‘Validate Token’ box next to it (in the green box)? This is where we put the token code. And for that, we revisit our user profile.
Remember, when we clicked on the sharpely Excel Terminal in Step 1? Let’s revisit that image.
You’ll find the token code in the box that’s blurred right now. It’s a unique code. Copy this code.
Then come back to your ‘Copy of sharpely Excel Xport Sheet’, and paste the token in the box that says, ‘Enter Token’
Once you copy it, hit Validate Token.
An authorization required request pop-up will appear in front of you like this:
Click on ‘Ok’ and it’ll then ask you to sign in to your Gmail account.
Note: Once you select the account, you’ll then be shown a warning like this:
But please don’t be scared. Just click on ‘Advanced’ and proceed to the sheet. Since this Excel uses App Script you’re seeing this pop-up. This is used because it’s important to run the custom script in order to fetch the live data of stocks.
Once you press on ‘Go to sharpelyExcelXport’ here’s what you’ll see:
Once you press Allow, the token is verified and you can now access your sharpely Excel Xport. The same can be checked here:
Your status will show ‘Active’ and you can see other details like the expiry date and limits you have left. As you can see the daily limit is set at 50 stocks and monthly at 500.
Let’s now pick a stock and see the other two sections: Stock Selection and Stock Snapshot. Curious to see the potential of this new tool?
This is the default view. Here you select the stocks that you wish to check and analyze. Simply pick a stock and press load data. By default, we can see Reliance Industries Ltd here. So let’s go ahead with it.
Once you hit the Load Data button, you’ll see a ‘Running Script’ pop up and in a few seconds the data is loaded and ready.
You will see a ‘Finished script’ pop-up. You can then see all the sheets are added here:
As well as for extreme ease of access they will be automatically added in the ‘Sheet Links’ column like this:
Just click on the sheet you wish to access in-depth and you can see all the data. Let’s check a couple of them.
We’ll look into the Cash flow- Annual first.
Once you click on it, you’ll be able to see the cash flow statement (annual) like this:
As you can see we offer a ‘Consolidated’ version right now. Here you can get data from 2010. The best part about this tool is that the real-time data will automatically get updated in every sheet.
You don’t need to go through the hassle of finding the data in reports, visiting each stock separately, keeping track of the data, and so on. Just search the stock, go to the desired statement (income, cash flow, or balance sheet) and you’ll see the data.
Now if you want more detailed insights, can you see the ‘Use Row Grouping’ in Column C? There next to it is a checked box. Simply uncheck it. And you’ll automatically start seeing the deeper insights for a granular level of research.
Similarly, let’s now look into the Income Statement- Quarterly
Now let’s look at an example of a quarterly statement. Here’s a snapshot:
As you can see the latest data is already added here. You can get the same for cash flow and balance sheet interim as well. Feel free to explore the other statements, too.
We will now visit an important section of this tool– Stock Snapshot.
The stock snapshot is a fully customizable snapshot of metrics catered to serve your needs. Meaning, that every investor prefers different metrics. And we want to make sure you can get your hands on it without sifting through the endless list of metrics data.
This is your default view. Empty! Ready to filled, like an empty canvas waiting for the artist’s vivid imagination.
To create your custom snapshot, just choose the metrics from the list available and click on ‘Add’. That metric data will now be visible to you. Crazy, right?
So, that’s about it for our surprise new tool!
We hope you enjoy it and make the most out of it. If you’ve any suggestions or feedback feel free to write to us at hello@sharpely.in
