We cover Indian listed stocks, ETFs, and Mutual Funds on our platform. Investments are supported for stocks and ETFs. MF investment support will be added very soon.
At present, we only support stocks listed on National Stock Exchange (NSE). Stocks that are listed on BSE and not on NSE are not supported.
Real-time prices are available for stocks and ETFs and all relevant intraday metrics are also real-time.
We use the same industry classification methodology as followed (and standardized) by NSE and BSE. As per this classification, stocks are classified at 4 levels.
Macro-Economic Sector: Indicates business activity of a company at macro level
Sector: Indicates specific sector of a company
Industry Group (called Industry by NSE): This level would indicate the industry classification of the company
Industry (called Basic Industry by NSE): This is a micro level classification to indicate the core business activities carried on by the company.
At present, there are 12 Macro-Economic Sectors, 22 Sectors, 59 Industry Groups and 197 Industries.
Below are a few examples:
For MF and ETF categorization, we use categorization as provided by Value Research.
Readers should note that SEBI has provided a detailed categorization framework for equity mutual funds. You can find the complete list here.
However, we use categorization provided by Value Research which we believe is more comprehensive and granular than SEBI categorization. Do note that our categorization is fairly similar to SEBI categorization, albeit being more granular.
A detailed explanation of each category can be found here.
