When using our stock screening or signal tools, users can work with different universes. Currently, we support 6 indices that can be used to define your universe.
By default, your universe consists of all stocks. This includes all active stocks trading on NSE with the exception of stocks in our exclusion list (which we will discuss next).
Users can narrow down the universe by selecting any of the 6 indices currently supported by us.
For both screener and signal, stocks that are in the “exclusion list” are filtered out by default.
Exclusion list is a set of stocks that fall into any one of the categories:
Note that both the stock screener and the signal can be used to build a basket (investible portfolio) and invest in the basket. As a pre-emptive precautionary measure, we filter out stocks that qualify for our exclusion list. This prevents investors from accidentally investing in stocks that are to be delisted or could potentially be suspended for trading in the near future.
Yes, but not recommended. To include stocks in the exclusion list in your screen/signal, all you have to do is toggle the button under the settings icon.
