Motilal Oswal Financial Services acquired 5.21 lakh shares representing 2.22% of Acme India Industries for Rs 11.67 crore at Rs 223.85 per share, while Pankaj Vasudeo Chhaparwal bought 1.17 lakh shares representing 0.5% for Rs 2.68 crore, as Acme India Industries surged 18.39% to Rs 232.05 on its BSE SME listing day.

Acme India Industries listed on the BSE SME platform on October 9 at Rs 221 per share against an issue price of Rs 196, a 12.76% premium, with market capitalisation of around Rs 518.74 crore. The company raised Rs 121.69 crore through an IPO comprising a fresh issue of 54.07 lakh shares worth Rs 105.98 crore and an offer for sale of 8.02 lakh shares worth Rs 15.71 crore, which was subscribed 115.51 times. It plans to use fresh issue proceeds for working capital, debt repayment, plant and machinery purchases and general corporate purposes.
