Royal Enfield's Andhra Pradesh plant to begin production by January 2029, says state official
Eicher Motors Limited's Royal Enfield is expected to begin production at its Tirupati plant around January 2029, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board CEO Sagili Shan Mohan told Moneycontrol, with around 38 component manufacturers expected to set up alongside the facility as part of the state's supplier ecosystem strategy.

Domestic air traffic falls 4.8% to 12 million in July as demand weakens
The Commission for Air Quality Management has ordered that VE Commercial Vehicles, the joint venture of Eicher Motors Limited, will see its petrol, diesel and CNG light goods vehicles become progressively ineligible for registration in Delhi-NCR, with N1 vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes banned in Delhi from January 1, 2027 and N2 vehicles of 3.5-7.5 tonnes banned in Delhi from January 1, 2028, with phased extensions to other NCR districts. VE Commercial Vehicles has electric N1 models available.

Replacement cycle, freight activity drive truck-led upturn in India's M&HCV market
Eicher Motors Limited's joint venture VECV-Eicher recorded a 16.4% year-on-year increase in M&HCV goods-carrier sales to 13,061 units in Q1 FY27, according to SIAM data. Managing Director B. Srinivas said industry growth was phenomenal across segments except heavy-duty buses, amid replacement-led truck demand.
