Hero MotoCorp retained its leadership in the two-wheeler segment despite a slight decline in sales to 5,02,890 units, down 4.24% year-on-year, with strong demand for its scooter portfolio.

Hero MotoCorp will invest Rs 3,200 crore in Andhra Pradesh over the next three to five years to expand its Tirupati plant, establish a new global parts centre (GPC 2.0), and increase production capacity, creating approximately 4,000 jobs. The investment aims to enhance the company's electric vehicle production and strengthen its global supply chain.

Hero MotoCorp reported a 2.3% year-on-year decline in total wholesale dispatches to 541,159 units in June, primarily due to weaker domestic sales, although exports increased significantly to 38,269 units. The company's electric mobility arm, VIDA, saw a 185% year-on-year increase in retail registrations, contributing to a strong start to the financial year with a 23% rise in first-quarter dispatches to 1.68 million units.
