Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, through Executive Director for Natural Gas Anuj Mehrotra, said it is targeting up to 45% growth in its city gas distribution business in FY27 after 44% growth last year and up to 25% growth in liquefied natural gas versus 20% in FY26. The company plans to accelerate domestic piped natural gas connections, expand industrial and commercial customers, commission about five LNG dispensing stations along highways with partners and 45-50 new compressed natural gas stations focused on Tier-II and Tier-III cities, and evaluate virtual pipelines using cryogenic tankers for off-grid industrial and mining customers.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd is seeing increased demand for its premium poWer95 high-octane petrol as consumers, worried about E20's impact on mileage and engine life, trade up from regular petrol despite both fuels containing 20% ethanol. Dealers report premium petrol's share rising to 12-15% from about 4% in March, with poWer95 priced at Rs 110-115 a litre versus about Rs 102 for regular petrol.
