Hindustan Zinc shares fall 3% on reports of fresh government stake sale via OFS
Hindustan Zinc shares fell to an intraday low of Rs 586.85, down 2.84% from Rs 604, on revived expectations that the government may sell around 1.5% stake via an offer for sale, potentially raising Rs 3,500-4,000 crore at current prices, according to Moneycontrol citing sources. The expectation was revived by the government's offer for sale in Hindustan Copper. Hindustan Zinc also reported Q1 FY27 consolidated net profit of Rs 5,469 crore, up 145% from Rs 2,234 crore a year earlier, with revenue up 77% to Rs 13,747 crore.
