Le Travenues Technology Limited (ixigo) said it is building proprietary voice-optimised small language models, model training and an AI harness combining workflows, memory and travel data with foundation models. Director and group co-CEO Rajnish Kumar said AI is the second major area where ixigo is reinvesting profits from mature trains, flights and buses businesses, impacting technology expenses near term. Its AI assistant Tara is central, with AI agents intended to understand intent and automate bookings, and 92% of customer queries were solved by AI in Q1, up from 88% a year earlier.

Le Travenues Technology Limited, parent of ixigo, said at its 6 August investor call that domestic passenger growth in April-June was negligible while domestic average transaction values on its platform rose 22% year-on-year and 13% sequentially. Chairman Aloke Bajpai said higher fares are discouraging price-sensitive travellers, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 markets, and that capacity restoration may begin only from October.
