India to meet 90% of its domestic urea demand by 2030 to improve food security
National Fertilizers Limited is co-promoting the 1.27 million-tonne-a-year Assam Valley Fertilizer urea plant in Assam and has signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia's JSC UralChem, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd and Indian Potash Ltd for a proposed 2 million-tonne-a-year urea project in Russia's Samara region.

Govt may review fixed cost for three urea units to bridge gap with peers
National Fertilizers Limited's Vijaipur urea unit is among three units for which the Union government is considering raising fixed-cost reimbursement to align with peers receiving at least Rs 2,300 per tonne, which would help cover salaries, maintenance and other operating costs.
