India to meet 90% of its domestic urea demand by 2030 to improve food security
Oil India Limited, along with the Assam government, National Fertilizers Ltd, Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd and Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd, is promoting Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd to set up a 1.27 million-tonne-a-year urea plant in Assam estimated at about Rs 10,600 crore.
