Sapphire Foods India revised its proposed merger scheme with Devyani International after its promoter Sapphire Foods Mauritius Ltd informed it that its agreement to sell about 18.5 per cent of Sapphire Foods India to Arctic International Pvt Ltd was terminated by mutual agreement, with the merger now proceeding without that condition and SFML to receive Devyani International shares on the same basis as other shareholders at the unchanged ratio of 177 Devyani International shares for every 100 Sapphire Foods India shares.

Maharashtra FDA, Pune division, suspended the licence of Sapphire Foods India Limited's KFC outlet in Bavdhan after an inspection found its storage facility was operated without required FSSAI licence approval, cold storage air-conditioning was not functioning properly causing water leakage and ice formation on food boxes, boxes were stored improperly on the floor and against walls, and inspection, audit and employee training records were unavailable.
