Tilaknagar Industries Ltd will invest Rs 22 crore to acquire a 30% stake on a fully diluted basis in Black Tiger Distilleries, owner of Bodega Suprema No. 5, marking its first entry into tequila and agave spirits. The investment will be in two tranches of Rs 6 crore initially and Rs 16 crore within 12 months. Tilaknagar Industries Ltd said it will support Black Tiger Distilleries with distribution, sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and regulatory capabilities for its 100% Blue Weber Agave tequilas priced at Rs 4,200-Rs 5,500 per 750ml.
