Union Bank of India shares drop 5% post Q1 business update, global business decline marginally on quarterly basis
Union Bank of India reported a 7.46% year-over-year growth in global business for the June 2026 quarter, reaching Rs 23.79 lakh crore, but experienced a slight quarterly decline of 0.24%. Gross advances grew by 12.50% year-over-year to Rs 10.96 lakh crore, while deposits saw a 3.50% yearly increase but a quarterly decline of 1.80%. The bank also announced changes in senior management, which contributed to the market's reaction.
