Voltas is set to begin exports to Europe and the Middle East to leverage its manufacturing capacity, with exports expected to start next year after meeting regulatory standards. The company is also reviewing its in-house compressor manufacturing plans following a failed joint venture with China's Highly Group due to regulatory hurdles. Voltas plans to invest approximately Rs 200 crore in capital expenditure this financial year, primarily for its Chennai manufacturing facility, and anticipates volume growth and margin expansion in the upcoming quarter despite challenges from raw material costs and competition.

Noel Tata announced his retirement as chairman of Voltas during the company's 72nd annual general meeting, effective after the AGM. Voltas reported over one million air-conditioner sales in the first three months of FY27, and the consumer durables industry is projected to grow significantly, with a CAGR of 11 percent expected to reach Rs 3 trillion by FY29.
