In the previous article, we talked about backtesting your screen, in this one, we’re going to talk about something equally exciting.
Let’s go back to the first time we added all our condition blocks and pressed ‘Run’. Here’s the image to help you out.
But these results are based on the latest data, right?
What if you want to see the output for the same screen, from maybe 15 days ago? Or perhaps in between a specific period?
In sharpely, you can do it all and more. To access it, all you need to do is hit the ‘Replay’ button, as seen in the red box below.
A box will appear like this, as soon as you click on it:
Let’s begin with selecting a particular date. We will select 29th December 2023. (Approximately one year ago.)
As you can see, 26 stocks qualified for our conditions as of 29th December 2023. Similarly, you can change the dates to some other day and hit on ‘Run’ you’ll see the results.
Let’s now try for ‘Between two dates.’ We’ll select between ‘20th December 2024 to 27th December 2024’ and then click ‘Run.’ Let’s see the results.
We can now see how many stocks qualified our conditions on each day. Not just that the bar graph also consists of different sectors from which the stocks are.
To see how many exist from a particular sector, simply hover over the sector, like we did (refer to the red arrow.)
Similarly, you can check how the screen performed in the past ‘N’ days, too.
Now that we have covered all the important points in the screen builder the only thing left to do is ‘save’ it, so that you may refer to it again in the future.
And to do that, we have the option to save a screen (in both, Basic and Advance Builders).
In the next article, we’ll explore something we call, ‘Community screens.’ This is a great guide for anyone looking to learn more about building effective screens. Let’s check it out.
