Introduction

by Avinash Bhatt Jan 28, 2025

Hello Hello! In the last few articles, we saw how we can create a static basket of stocks/MFs/ETFs and a dynamic stock selection system using a screener and factor model.

But selecting the assets, be it stocks, MF or ETF is just the first step of the strategy creation. A solid investment strategy has multiple other factors. For example, how frequently do you churn your portfolio, how do you decide to sell the stocks, or how do you manage the risk? Do you keep a fixed stop-loss or a trailing stop-loss?

And on sharpely, we have got you covered. Our strategy builder is the most comprehensive one in the market. Here, you can decide on all of the above-mentioned parameters and do an in-depth analysis.

That is what we are going to discuss in the next few articles. But do note that all of the parameters will not be available in all types of strategies. For example, setting exit criteria will be available only for stocks.

So, at the beginning of each article, we will mention for which type of strategy the parameter is useful. Now, without wasting much time, let’s get started.
