ICICI Lombard General Insurance reported Q2FY27 net profit of Rs 946.4 crore, up 15.5% year-on-year from Rs 819.54 crore, supported by growth in premium and investment income, while gross written premium rose to Rs 7,702 crore and the board declared an interim dividend of Rs 7 for the first half of FY27.

Emkay Research expects ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited to report a 1.1% year-on-year decline in gross written premium to Rs 6,980 crore in Q2, with claims ratio rising to 73.3% and net profit falling 1.4% to Rs 808 crore on pricing pressure and weather claims. Emkay maintained an add rating with a Rs 1,900 target.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance recorded 13.7% year-on-year growth in gross direct premium to Rs 2,196.31 crore in September, while general insurers overall grew 12.4% and non-life premium rose 6% to Rs 32,951.16 crore.
