Polycab India Limited fell 3-5% along with other cable and wire stocks after UltraTech Cement Limited launched its Ultravolt business, raising fears of pricing pressure and slower market share gains. Asit C. Mehta Financial Services initiated coverage on Polycab India, noting its diversified retail, institutional, high-voltage cable, export and EPC revenue streams have limited direct overlap with Ultravolt.

Polycab India Limited will be excluded from the National Stock Exchange equity derivatives segment from December 30, 2026, with no new expiry months after existing October, November and December 2026 contracts expire. Separately, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal stayed the National Company Law Tribunal Ahmedabad Bench's October 7 order admitting corporate insolvency resolution process against Polycab India Limited in a case filed by Asier Metals Private Limited over alleged operational debt of Rs 2.79 crore, directing the company to deposit the amount via fixed deposit receipt in the name of the Registrar, NCLAT, within a week.

Polycab India Limited is expected by InCred Equities to report nearly 39% annual revenue growth in Q2 of FY27 across cables and wires, FMEG and EPC segments, with EBITDA up 20%, margin at around 13.6% down 215 basis points on a high inventory-gain base, and PAT growth of 22%.
