Buy Tata Consumer Products; target of Rs 1500: Motilal Oswal
Motilal Oswal has reiterated a Buy rating on Tata Consumer Products Limited with a sum-of-the-parts-based target price of Rs 1,500. The brokerage said Tata Consumer Products Limited is transforming from a tea- and salt-led company into a diversified, innovation-led food and beverage platform, with growth businesses including Tata Sampann, Ready-to-Drink, Tata Soulfull, Tata MyBistro, Capital Foods and Organic India scaling up, launches rising from 41 in FY25 to 80 in FY26, and innovation-to-sales improving to 4.5% in FY26, and it forecasts a 10%/16%/21% CAGR in revenue/EBITDA/PAT over FY26-28.

Starbucks India to accelerate store expansion after business recalibration
Tata Consumer Products Limited said its 50:50 joint venture with Starbucks Corporation, Tata Starbucks, will resume aggressive store expansion after an 18-24 month recalibration of store size, capital expenditure and pricing amid softer discretionary spending. Managing Director and CEO Sunil D'Souza said the JV has delivered four successive quarters of same-store sales growth and operates 498 stores at the end of the June quarter across about 80 cities, with plans to increase density in existing cities. Tata Starbucks reported 11% revenue growth in the June quarter and 7% growth to Rs 1,367 crore in FY26 while narrowing its net loss to Rs 98.95 crore.

Tata Consumer Products Ltd expects double-digit revenue growth in FY27, MD & CEO Sunil D'Souza said, after reporting 12% revenue growth, 19% EBITDA growth and 29% net profit growth in the June quarter. D'Souza said growth is volume-led, with tea and packaged beverages posting 2% volume growth despite a 4% revenue decline, and growth businesses including Tata Sampann, Capital Foods, Organic India, Soulfull and ready-to-drink beverages growing about 47% to nearly 30% of the India business. The company may take calibrated price hikes of up to 4-6% in select categories if commodity, packaging and energy costs persist, having already raised salt prices by Rs 2 to Rs 32.
