Vedanta Limited's subsidiary Vedanta Aluminium launched Copper-Doped Alloy and Vedanta Foundry Alloy (VFA) under its Primary Foundry Alloy range at AutoEdge 2026 for automotive applications, with the VFA jointly developed with IIT Delhi, and disclosed its existing Primary Foundry Alloy capacity of 380 kilo tonnes per annum and planned billet capacity of 1.25 million tonnes per annum at BALCO in Korba.

Capitalmind Flexi Cap Fund made a complete exit from Vedanta Limited in July, selling 1.94 lakh shares as part of an 11-stock exit, according to its monthly portfolio disclosure.

Vedanta Limited said it invested more than $1 billion in net-zero transition initiatives in FY26, with renewable energy utilisation rising 52% year-on-year to 4 billion units (400 crore units) in 2025-26 and nearly 2,000 MW of installed and contracted renewable energy capacity, targeting 2.5 GW of round-the-clock capacity by 2030. Vedanta Limited said the initiatives helped avoid approximately 3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions in 2025-26 and reduced greenhouse gas emissions intensity across its metals and mining production by approximately 14% from the 2020-21 baseline.
